Since the creation of our kennel in 2003, we have maintained full **DNA traceability** for all our breeding dogs.
When you care deeply, you go all in — and indeed, from the very beginning, we chose to carry out **health testing before any breeding** and, above all, to record all results **transparently** with the **Breed Club** and the **Société Centrale Canine (SCC)**.
With the evolution of our profession and scientific advances, we are proud of this choice: it allows us to **highlight 20 years of DNA traceability**.
Mandatory DNA identification for breeding dogs ensures that all LOF breeders can guarantee their future owners **complete transparency** and **reliable pedigrees**, especially regarding health testing.

### We perform the following health tests:
**Cystinuria** – a urinary stone disease with a genetic predisposition (detected by DNA testing).
**Hip dysplasia X-rays** – essential for managing matings (pairings beyond grade C are strongly discouraged) and required to obtain at least rating 2.
**Elbow dysplasia X-rays** – necessary to achieve a minimum rating of level 3.
**Screening for aortic stenosis and other heart diseases** – implemented in 2010, this examination is crucial for responsible pairings based on stenosis grades.
These congenital cardiac conditions are part of an ongoing research program at ENVA (National Veterinary School of Alfort).
This test is also required to obtain a minimum rating of level 3.
